A horrific collision between a bus and a truck on the BR-116 highway near Teofilo Otoni, Minas Gerais, Brazil, claimed the lives of 38 people. The incident occurred at 4 a.m. on December 21, while the bus was traveling from Sao Paulo to Bahia.

According to the Minas Gerais Fire Department, the bus was carrying 45 people, including the driver. 38 people died at the scene, and the remaining passengers were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Another car was also involved in the accident, but fortunately, all three occupants survived.
