On September 24th, at approximately 3:25 PM, a severe traffic accident occurred on National Highway 27, passing through Ea Bhok commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, tragically claiming the life of a 12th-grade female student. This heartbreaking incident has shocked the public and raised significant concerns about traffic safety on national highways.
At the time, V.M.Tr (born in 2007), a 12th-grade student at Y Jut High School, residing in Cu Ewi commune, Cu Kuin district, was walking across National Highway 27 with a male friend. Upon reaching the middle of the road, they encountered a car traveling in the direction of Buon Ma Thuot – Cu Kuin. V.M.Tr stepped back to avoid this car.
Unfortunately, as she stepped back, V.M.Tr was struck head-on by a truck with license plate 51D-432.81, driven by Dinh Quang Huy (born in 1999, residing in Dak Glei district, Kon Tum province), traveling in the opposite direction. The forceful impact caused the 12th-grade student to die instantly at the scene. At the scene, the front of the truck was damaged, and V.M.Tr’s body lay beside it, a tragic scene that caused immense grief to many witnesses.
This truck accident that directly hit and killed the 12th-grade student is not only a great loss for V.M.Tr’s family, school, and friends but also serves as a stark warning about the unsafe traffic situation on National Highway 27. Functional authorities are currently investigating and clarifying the cause of the accident to implement appropriate measures and preventions, ensuring safety for road users, especially students who regularly travel on these routes.
