A serious traffic accident involving a truck and motorcycle on Highway 51, passing through Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province, is causing public outrage. The incident resulted in the death of a man at the scene, and the truck driver is currently being detained by the police for investigation into suspected “homicide.”
On the afternoon of August 28th, a tragic accident occurred on Highway 51, in the Huong Phuoc neighborhood, Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa City. According to initial information, at approximately 11:40 AM, driver Do Minh Tan (28 years old, residing in Ben Tre province) was driving truck with license plate 71H-012.25 on Highway 51 in the direction from Long Thanh district to Bien Hoa City. Upon reaching the location, the truck suddenly turned right to enter a gas station on the side of the road.
At the same time, Mr. To Hoang Dung (38 years old, residing in Binh Duong province) was driving a motorcycle with license plate 83P2-936.91 in the same direction and close to the right side of the road. Due to the truck’s sudden right turn at close range, Mr. Dung was unable to react in time, braking sharply causing the motorcycle to fall onto the road and be run over by the truck.
According to images from a dashcam recorded by a local resident, after running over Mr. Dung, the truck continued to move and ran over the victim again. This action has raised suspicions about the truck driver intentionally causing the accident, rather than a simple traffic collision.

Immediately after the incident, the Bien Hoa City Police quickly arrived at the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident. Driver Do Minh Tan has been detained for investigation purposes. Colonel Le Hong Phong, Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police, directed professional units to coordinate with the Bien Hoa City Police to urgently collect evidence, investigate, and consolidate documents to clarify the “homicide” act of the truck driver.
