The accident occurred around 10:50 AM when a truck with license plate 61H-084.81 was traveling on My Phuoc Tan Van road from Di An City to Thuan An City. At the intersection with Bui Thi Xuan street in Tan Binh ward, Di An City, the truck ran a red light, leading to the devastating collision.

Security camera footage shows that many vehicles were stopped at the intersection waiting for the traffic light to turn green. The truck approached at high speed without slowing down, colliding directly with two motorcycles that were stopped in front.
One man riding a motorcycle managed to escape and was unharmed. However, the other motorcycle, driven by Nguyen Thi Truc L, 32 years old, from An Giang province, carrying her 5-year-old daughter, couldn’t avoid the impact. The powerful collision dragged both mother and daughter under the truck.
Mother Tragically Dies, Daughter Miraculously Survives
The horrific impact caused fatal injuries to Mrs. L, who was 6 months pregnant, as she was run over by the truck. Her 5-year-old daughter miraculously survived, escaping death by landing between the truck’s wheels.
After causing the initial collision, the truck continued moving forward, crashing into another truck and a motorcycle crossing the road. The truck finally came to a stop after hitting the median strip.
Di An Police Urgently Investigate the Accident
The chain-reaction accident caused severe traffic congestion in the area. Di An City Police quickly arrived at the scene, coordinating with the Binh Duong Provincial Traffic Police Department to examine the scene, manage traffic flow, and investigate the cause of the fatal truck accident. The truck driver reported to the Tan Binh Ward Police immediately after the incident.
By 1:00 PM, the victim’s body had been taken to the morgue for investigation purposes.
