Fatal Car Crash in Hai Duong: Driver Dies After River Plunge

On the evening of April 19th, around 7 PM, a serious accident occurred on Bach Dang Street, Tran Phu Ward, Hai Duong City, resulting in the death of a man. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc H. (born 1967, from Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province), driving a Mazda CX5, suddenly lost control, crashed through the median, and plunged into the Bach Dang River.

Mazda CX5 Loses Control and Plunges into Bach Dang River

Initial reports indicate that at the time of the accident, Mr. H. was driving the Mazda CX5 on Bach Dang Street in the direction from Han Bridge downwards. Upon reaching the Tran Phu Ward area, the vehicle unexpectedly lost control, crashed through the road divider, and fell into the Bach Dang River.

Rescue Efforts for Victim Prove Unsuccessful

Immediately after the accident, many witnesses promptly reported the incident to the authorities. Traffic police, rescue personnel, and local residents made efforts to extract the driver from the vehicle.

However, due to the vehicle sinking deep underwater and the victim suffering from prolonged submersion, Mr. H. passed away before reaching the hospital. By approximately 8 PM on the same day, the car was recovered from the river.

Cause of Accident Under Investigation

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by authorities. This incident serves as another warning about the dangers of traffic participation, especially the importance of adhering to traffic laws and ensuring safety for oneself and others.
