The accident occurred on December 3rd in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, when a truck with brake failure crashed into a traffic light pole and several motorbikes waiting at a red light. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
At approximately 1:42 PM on December 3rd, a truck with Ho Chi Minh City license plates was traveling on Nguyen Thi Lang Street from Provincial Road 8 towards National Highway 22. Upon reaching the intersection of Nguyen Thi Lang – Ho Van Tang (Cay Da hamlet, Tan Phu Trung commune, Cu Chi district), the truck suddenly crashed into a traffic light pole and then collided with 3 motorbikes stopped in front of a repair shop.

According to the repair shop owner, the driver stated that the truck’s brakes had failed. Fortunately, the truck hit the electric pole in front of the repair shop instead of crossing the intersection, otherwise the consequences would have been much more serious. At the time of the accident, there were many people in the shop, but no one was injured.
Security camera footage shows that the red light on Nguyen Thi Lang Street had just turned green, and the vehicles waiting at the red light were beginning to move when the truck came from behind. To avoid a collision with the vehicle in front, the driver steered close to the side of the road but could not react in time, leading to the accident.
