On May 2nd, around 5 PM, a tragic traffic accident occurred on Highway 1A, in Trai Voi village, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province. A truck driving the wrong way collided head-on with two motorcycles, resulting in the immediate death of two people.

The entire sequence of events was captured by a dashcam in Mr. Bui Hieu’s car. The footage shows the two victims (one male, one female) riding their motorcycles in the correct lane when they were suddenly struck by a truck driving the wrong way. The forceful impact caused both victims to die instantly.
The truck driving the wrong way was traveling at high speed and completely crossed into the motorcycle lane. Despite making contact with the motorcycles, the driver was unable to react in time, leading to the tragic outcome.
According to initial information, the driver of the truck driving the wrong way that caused the accident has been identified as Dao Manh Ha (born in 1977, residing in Ngo Quyen ward, Bac Giang city). The truck has license plate 98C – 002.17. The two deceased victims are Nong Van Hung (born in 1994) and Nong Thi Van (born in 1996), both residing in Hong Thai commune, Binh Gia district, Lang Son province.

On the afternoon of May 3rd, the National Traffic Safety Committee issued a directive requesting a thorough investigation and strict handling of violations in this serious traffic accident. This accident once again raises a warning about the dangerous situation of trucks driving the wrong way, endangering road users.
