Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 PM, a truck fire on the road occurred on Le Dai Hanh Street, Pleiku City, Gia Lai province, drawing significant attention from residents and authorities. The truck, bearing license plate 81C-084.26, suddenly ignited while parked near a warehouse, quickly escalating into a large and spreading fire.
The fire originated from the rear tire on the driver’s side of the truck fire. The truck driver, Mr. Phan Van Dai (born in 1987), swiftly steered the vehicle onto Le Dai Hanh Street. This action was to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby residential areas and warehouses, demonstrating the driver’s quick thinking and responsibility in an emergency situation.

As the truck fire on the road intensified on Le Dai Hanh Street, driver Dai was forced to jump out of the cabin for safety due to the overwhelming flames. The truck then rolled downhill freely, traveling approximately 10 meters before crashing into the median strip and coming to a stop in front of house number 306. The truck fire incident occurred in the mid-afternoon when traffic density on Le Dai Hanh Street was not too high, fortunately avoiding more serious consequences in terms of casualties.
Immediately after the major truck fire erupted, Mr. Dai and local residents used fire extinguishers and water to attempt to extinguish the flames. However, due to the fire’s magnitude and rapid spread, their initial efforts were ineffective. The fire quickly engulfed and destroyed many parts of the truck.
