Around 3:00 AM on February 1, 2024, a devastating fire occurred in Village 2, Co Am Commune, Vinh Bao District, Hai Phong, tragically claiming the lives of three family members. Upon receiving the emergency fire report, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police swiftly dispatched fire trucks to the scene, urgently working to extinguish the blaze and conduct rescue operations.

The fire erupted intensely, rapidly spreading and engulfing the entire 50m2 level-4 house. Thick black smoke billowed out, severely hindering access and rescue efforts. Confirming that people were trapped inside, Fire Prevention Police officers bravely forced entry, searching for and rescuing victims while simultaneously implementing firefighting measures.
After approximately 45 minutes of intense effort, by 3:45 AM the same day, the fire was essentially contained and completely extinguished. However, the aftermath was heartbreaking. The fire completely destroyed all household property, including motorbikes, bicycles, tables, chairs, beds, wardrobes, and numerous personal belongings. The roof collapsed entirely. Most tragically, three family members perished in the fire.
The victims were identified as Ms. P.T.X (born 1981), grandchild Ng.H. T.A (born 2016), and grandchild Ng.P.N.D (born 2018). All three victims were temporary residents of Village 2, Co Am Commune, Vinh Bao District. Fortunately, grandchild Ng.P.T.T (born 2008) escaped the fire through a back door.

Currently, professional departments of the Hai Phong City Police are closely coordinating with the Vinh Bao District Police to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire and handle the incident in accordance with the law. This tragic event serves as a profound reminder of fire prevention and safety, especially in residential areas and households.
