Boosting Truck Driver Safety Awareness in My Dinh

In the context of increasingly complex traffic, promoting traffic safety to truck drivers is extremely important. The Xe Tải Mỹ Đình website constantly strives to update the latest and most useful information to support the driver community to drive safely and efficiently. Recently, the An Suong Traffic Police Team organized a traffic law education session for drivers of Thinh Dat Transportation Company Limited, a practical activity to raise law compliance awareness and reduce accidents.

Captain Pham Quoc My, Deputy Head of the An Suong Traffic Police Team, directly informed the drivers about the traffic order and safety situation (TTATGT) in the area in the first 7 months of 2024. The awareness session focused on in-depth analysis of the main causes of traffic accidents, the serious consequences of accidents, and especially emphasized common violations on roads managed by the unit.

The violations pointed out include:

  • Speeding: Exceeding the speed limit is one of the leading causes of accidents, especially for heavy trucks, which are difficult to control when moving fast.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol and stimulants: Driving after using alcohol or stimulants reduces concentration, slows reflexes, and easily causes dangerous situations.
  • Overloading: Overloaded vehicles not only endanger the driver and other traffic participants but also damage traffic infrastructure.
  • Improper parking and stopping: Parking or stopping in prohibited places not only obstructs traffic but also poses a risk of accidents, especially on roads with high truck density.
  • Entering restricted areas: Trucks entering restricted areas, especially in inner cities, cause congestion and danger to pedestrians and other small vehicles.

The truck driver safety promotion session did not just stop at announcing the traffic situation and violations. More importantly, it helped drivers deeply understand the harmful effects of driving under the influence of alcohol or stimulants, as well as the danger of speeding and overloading. From there, each driver will voluntarily raise their awareness, strictly comply with the Law on Prevention and Control of Harms of Alcohol and Beer and the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic.

Along with verbal advocacy, the An Suong Traffic Police Team also coordinated to distribute legal leaflets and organized for business owners, drivers, and employees of Thinh Dat Company to sign commitments to strictly comply with traffic laws. This is a practical action, demonstrating the determination of both the functional forces and businesses in ensuring traffic safety.

Through the awareness session, truck drivers were equipped with more important knowledge about the Law on Road Traffic, understanding the administrative violation sanction levels according to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and Decree 123/2021 of the Government. Understanding the law is the basis for each driver to voluntarily comply, contributing to building a safer and more civilized traffic environment.
