Around 4:45 AM on December 7th, a serious accident occurred on the new National Highway 18, section passing through the Samsung Industrial Park overpass in Bac Ninh. A container truck collided with the overpass undercarriage, causing a beam to collapse and the container to fall onto the road.

Container Truck Lost Control and Hit the Samsung Industrial Park Overpass
According to initial information, the tractor-trailer with license plate 88C-150.45, pulling trailer 88R-007.36, driven by Nguyen Van Toan (born in 1981, residing in Binh Giang, Pha Lai, Chi Linh, Hai Duong), was traveling towards Noi Bai from Bac Ninh. Upon reaching Km23+600 of the new National Highway 18, the vehicle suddenly lost control and crashed directly into the overpass undercarriage.
The strong impact caused an overpass beam to break, and the container fell onto the road. Fortunately, the accident did not result in any fatalities.
Traffic Diversion Following the Accident
Immediately after the accident, law enforcement forces arrived at the scene to investigate the cause and handle the incident. Simultaneously, the Traffic Police Department of Bac Ninh Province Police implemented traffic diversion on the new National Highway 18 in both directions to prevent congestion.

Specifically, vehicles traveling from Noi Bai to Bac Ninh City are guided to go down to the Yen Phong Industrial Park underpass, go straight to Provincial Road 286, turn left, and at the Dong Yen intersection, turn right to get back onto the new National Highway 18.
Vehicles traveling from Bac Ninh City to Noi Bai are instructed to enter the Yen Phong Industrial Park gate, then turn to the Yen Phong Industrial Park underpass to get back onto the new National Highway 18.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Phong District Police is investigating and clarifying the cause of the accident. This incident once again serves as a warning about traffic safety, especially in areas with high traffic density such as industrial parks.
