Early this morning, a horrific traffic accident occurred on National Highway 14B, in the Hoa Tho Tay ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang, when a passenger bus collided forcefully with the rear of a truck, resulting in extremely serious consequences. This tragic accident claimed the lives of over 10 people and injured many others, shocking the public and causing immense grief to numerous families.
The tragic accident happened at approximately 7:35 AM, at the Voong slope area, a location known for high traffic density. According to initial reports from authorities, at that time, a truck with license plate 43H-2620, driven by Mr. Vo Ngoc Ai (born 1958, residing in Hoa Tho Dong, Cam Le), unexpectedly lost control and collided forcefully into the rear of a passenger bus with license plate 43H-6037, driven by Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung (born 1968). The strong impact pushed the bus forward, causing it to further collide with a parked tractor-trailer truck with license plate 92K-7013.
The aftermath of the multi-vehicle collision was extremely severe. The 45-seater passenger bus was almost completely deformed, with the front and rear ends crushed, indicating the tremendous force of the impact. Passengers on the bus directly bore the brunt of the horrific collision. According to the latest updates from rescue forces at the scene, over 10 people have died and many others are in critical condition, being urgently transported to nearby hospitals.
