A serious traffic accident involving a sleeper bus colliding head-on with a truck occurred on National Highway 1, passing through Thuy Bang commune, Hue City, on the afternoon of June 14th. Authorities are investigating the cause. The incident injured several passengers on the sleeper bus and caused significant damage to both vehicles.
Around noon on June 14th, a sleeper bus with license plate 73F-00.012, driven by Luu Duc Phuong (born in 1986, from Quang Binh province) carrying 21 passengers, was traveling north to south. At Km 21+350 on the National Highway 1 bypass of Hue City, the bus unexpectedly collided head-on with a pig-carrying truck with license plate 37H-03.385, driven by Pham Van Tai (born in 1986).

The direct head-on collision between the sleeper bus and the truck injured 4 people on the bus, including 3 passengers and the driver, Luu Duc Phuong. At the scene, the front of the sleeper bus was completely deformed and heavily damaged, while the front of the truck also suffered significant damage.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Thua Thien Hue Province quickly arrived at the scene, coordinating with traffic police to rescue passengers and take the injured to the hospital. The incident is currently under further investigation by authorities to determine the cause and handle it according to the law.
