The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but due to severe injuries, he tragically passed away shortly after. The incident has caused public outcry and debate regarding the cause of the accident.

Debate Over the Cause of the Accident

Some opinions suggest that the student may have been in the truck driver’s blind spot. “Right in the blind spot of the truck. Regardless, the child is gone. May he rest in peace,” commented a social media user. Another person agreed: “Don’t blame the truck driver. Don’t blame anyone. Because no one wants such a tragic incident to happen. Any driver who has driven a truck will understand the blind spots that make it impossible to see everything around.

However, many others believe that the truck driver was driving recklessly and lacked observation, leading to the accident. “Is the driver blind?” one comment questioned. “The truck wasn’t going fast, but why couldn’t it brake in time? So sad,” another expressed sympathy. One opinion asserted: “So sorry for him. The main reason here is that the truck driver was inattentive, and there’s no blind spot at this roundabout.

Many people refuted the blind spot theory: “It can’t be said it’s a blind spot because the bicycle was going ahead. This is just reckless driving.” “There are side mirrors, the driver just wasn’t paying attention. Initially, they were meters apart, how could he not see? Heartbreaking,” another person shared.

8th Grader Killed by Truck: A Lesson in Road Safety

This tragic accident once again sounds an alarm about road safety, especially concerning large vehicles like trucks. Adhering to traffic laws and careful observation before moving are crucial to prevent such unfortunate accidents from happening. The event also raises questions about the training and improvement of awareness for truck drivers to ensure the safety of all road users.
