3D Printed Truck Model: Student Design Project

3D printing of long truck models is becoming a trend in design and manufacturing. This article introduces a student’s project using 3D printing technology to create a miniature 3dsmax long truck model made of plastic. This project not only demonstrates creativity but also showcases the potential of 3D printing in realizing truck design ideas.

High-Efficiency Truck Design with 3dsmax Model

The student designed this 3dsmax truck model with the goal of creating a high-efficiency transportation unit. The design includes a steel frame that can be attached to the platform to protect goods and equipment. All parts of the truck are 3D printed and assembled together. 3D Printing Process for Truck Model

The 3D printing process for the 3dsmax truck model includes the following steps:

  • Checking and editing the 3D model: First, 3D models sent from customers are checked and edited to ensure the feasibility of printing.
  • Hollowing the model: To reduce material and cost, the model is hollowed out. Close-up of the hollowed truck bed to save materialClose-up of the hollowed truck bed to save material Support and arrangement of positions on the slicing software are also performed in this step.
  • 3D Printing: The model is 3D printed in one piece with SLA General Plastic using an industrial 3D printer. The layer thickness is set to 0.05mm.
  • Cleaning and post-processing: The model is cleaned with IPA and post-processed with UV light. Conclusion

This 3dsmax truck model project demonstrates the widespread applicability of 3D printing technology in the field of truck design and manufacturing. Using 3D printing allows students to create complex models at low cost and quickly. This technology opens up new opportunities for innovation and the development of transportation solutions in the future.
