At approximately 2:00 PM on the same day, at Km 97+950 on National Highway 20, passing through Bao Loc Pass in Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province, a truck with license plate 84C-050.12, driven by Thach Sa Ranl (37 years old, residing in Tra Vinh province), was traveling in the direction of Bao Loc to Ho Chi Minh City. The truck was carrying agricultural products such as coffee and tea.
Upon reaching the above location, the truck suddenly lost control, crashed into the roadside mountain wall, and overturned. The truck overturning blocked the entire road, causing complete traffic congestion on Bao Loc Pass. Notably, the overturned truck struck a 7-seater car with license plate 51K-107.14, driven by Huynh Dai Loc (residing in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City), which was moving in the opposite direction.
At the same time, two motorcycles with license plates 77E-423.54 and 54L2-291.04 could not react in time and crashed into the rear of the 7-seater car, creating a multi-vehicle accident.
