2019 Truck Inspection: Weight Regulations & Overload Fines

2019 truck inspection is a crucial aspect of ensuring road safety and legal compliance. This article focuses on truck weight regulations and penalties for overloading according to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, applicable to 2019 truck inspections.

Truck payload is understood as the maximum load capacity technically permitted for the vehicle, as published by the manufacturer in the vehicle’s technical documentation. During a truck inspection, the designed payload is the permissible load recorded in the certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection.

According to Regulation 41/2016/BGVT, the gross vehicle weight is the weight of the vehicle in a static state plus the number of people, luggage, and goods loaded on the vehicle. This parameter is recorded in the truck inspection certificate.

Payload is the measure used to determine if a vehicle is carrying more than the allowed amount of goods. Authorities will rely on the truck inspection certificate to penalize overloading violations.

Authorities are intensifying patrols, inspections, and handling of violations related to overloading, especially on key national and provincial highways. Compliance with weight regulations when participating in traffic is the responsibility of everyone, contributing to ensuring safety for themselves and the community.
