A rare incident occurred when a truck carrying pigs spilled its cargo on the highway, causing the pigs to scatter. Local residents quickly stepped in to help recapture the animals, preventing traffic accidents.

The event took place at approximately 9:00 AM. Upon discovering pigs running loose on the road, residents living nearby and passersby immediately joined forces to encircle and herd the pigs to the roadside, ensuring traffic safety and alerting the local police.

About an hour later, the owner of the pigs became aware of the incident and arrived at the scene to retrieve his livestock. According to Mr. Lam Viet Trieu, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Phu Commune People’s Committee, local residents and authorities assisted the owner in recapturing the spilled pigs. “Residents managed to catch four pigs, while one escaped into the bushes. The owner and residents are currently searching for it,” Mr. Trieu stated. Pigs falling from trucks not only pose a danger to traffic but also cause economic damage to the cargo owner. Fortunately, thanks to the enthusiastic help of the local people, the losses were minimized.
