According to driver Vu, as his truck approached the entrance of VSip Industrial Park, a 4-seater car with a Hanoi license plate suddenly sped up and blocked his truck. A couple, a man and a woman, stepped out of the car, armed with a Japanese sword approximately 40cm long. Without a word, they immediately attacked, slashing repeatedly at the truck’s windshield.

This aggressive and unexpected act terrified bystanders, who quickly moved away fearing involvement. After shattering the truck’s windshield, the couple quickly got back into their car and continued driving towards Ho Chi Minh City, leaving behind the scene of the attack and the truck with its shattered windshield.

Driver Bui Tuan Vu further explained that before the attack, the 4-seater car had turned onto National Highway 13 from Road 22/12. Due to the sudden traffic situation, he honked his truck horn as a warning. This may have been the reason that led to the subsequent blocking and sword attack on his truck.

Immediately after the incident, the truck driver reported the event to the local police authorities. Initial investigations by authorities revealed that the young man wielding the sword and attacking the truck was identified as a well-known gym owner in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong.

Currently, the police are conducting further investigations to clarify the cause of the incident and handle it according to the law. The “gym owner sword attack on truck” incident not only caused property damage but also created a sense of anxiety and fear among commuters on the crucial National Highway 13.
