Images of pigs scattered on the road after falling from a truck have shocked many.
On the evening of March 18th, a truck carrying 130 pigs was traveling on Nguyen Van Linh Parkway from District 7 towards National Highway 1. Approaching the intersection with National Highway 50 (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City), the driver swerved suddenly to avoid a woman on a motorbike running a red light.

The sudden swerve caused the truck to lose control, crash into a lamppost, and overturn in the middle of the road. As a result, dozens of pigs fell onto the highway.
Chaotic Scene After the Accident
The accident caused severe traffic congestion. Many curious onlookers stopped to watch, hindering rescue efforts. Some residents assisted the driver in gathering the pigs that had fallen into the drainage ditch.

Narrow Escape
According to eyewitnesses, five men were fishing at the location where the truck overturned. Upon hearing shouts of alarm, they quickly dropped their fishing rods and fled. “Some threw their rods, others jumped into the ditch to swim to the other side. Luckily, they escaped in time, otherwise the consequences would have been dire,” said a male witness named Hung.
Fortunately, the truck driver sustained only minor scratches. He stated that he was transporting 130 pigs from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta. When the truck overturned, many pigs fell into the ditch and died.
Conclusion
The pigs falling from a truck accident is another warning about the dangers of participating in traffic without complying with regulations. The red-light violation by the woman on the motorbike indirectly caused the accident, resulting in property damage and potentially endangering the lives of many. The incident also demonstrates that the traffic awareness of some people is still poor and needs to be further improved.
