On November 1st, the Traffic Police Team – Order Police of Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai) issued an administrative violation record to driver T.Q.C (34 years old, residing in Tien Giang province) for driving a dump truck with license plate 60H-057.75 in the wrong direction, running a red light, and entering a prohibited road at the Phat Trien intersection in Bien Hoa City.

Previously, a clip appeared on social media showing a dump truck driver driving against traffic and running a red light from Hoang Van Bo street to National Highway 1. At that time, a long line of motorbikes was waiting for the red light.
Truck Driver Fined for Driving Against Traffic
Upon receiving information from the clip of the truck driver driving against traffic, the Traffic Police Team – Order Police of Bien Hoa City verified and handled the case. By the afternoon of November 1st, the police invited driver T.Q.C to work. Here, the driver stated that he drove the truck at noon on October 31st in the above area. Bien Hoa City Police issued an administrative violation record to driver T.Q.C.
Not Just One Clip of Truck Drivers Going Wrong Way
It is known that in addition to Mr. T.Q.C, there were two other drivers who also drove two dump trucks through red lights and into prohibited roads. These two vehicles are still being verified by the police. This incident shows that traffic law violations are still common, posing a danger to road users.
Road Closed to Trucks for Repairs
It is known that from October 21st, the Department of Transport has put up signs prohibiting vehicles with a tonnage of 5 tons or more from traveling on Hoang Van Bo street, the section from Minh Nguyet intersection to National Highway 1, through Bien Hoa City from 6 AM to 8 PM for road repairs. The fact that truck drivers intentionally enter prohibited roads further shows their disregard for traffic laws.
Penalties for Traffic Violations
According to regulations, for driving cars in the wrong direction, running red lights, and entering prohibited roads, drivers can be fined a total amount of money from 10 to 16 million VND and may have their driving licenses revoked.
Specifically:
- Driving in the wrong direction: Fine from 4,000,000 – 6,000,000 VND. License revocation from 2 – 4 months.
- Running a red light: Fine from 4,000,000 – 6,000,000 VND. License revocation from 1 – 3 months.
- Entering a prohibited road: Fine from 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 VND. License revocation from 1 – 3 months.
Strictly handling cases of traffic law violations such as in the clip of the truck driver driving against traffic is necessary to ensure traffic safety and deter similar violations.
