Truck modification is a topic of great interest to many truck owners. So, what is truck modification and what regulations must be followed when carrying it out? This article from Xe Tải Mỹ Đình will provide detailed answers to these questions, helping you better understand the truck modification process.

What is Truck Modification?

According to Clause 4, Article 3 of Circular 85/2014/TT-BGTVT, truck modification is defined as the alteration of the structure, shape, arrangement, working principle, parameters, and technical characteristics of part or all of the systems or assemblies of a motor vehicle.

However, replacing a system or assembly with another of the same type and from the same manufacturer (same part number) is not considered modification. For example, replacing old tires with new tires of the same type and from the same manufacturer is not considered truck modification.
