On the night of December 29th, a severe traffic accident occurred in front of house number 94 on Luong The Vinh Street, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, resulting in one tragic death. The accident involved a truck and a motorcycle. According to several witnesses, the initial cause was believed to be the motorcyclist’s attempt to avoid the truck, leading to a loss of control and the heartbreaking consequence.
The accident happened at approximately 9:55 PM, when the motorcycle with license plate 27-F3 5267 was traveling in the direction of Nguyen Trai to Ho Me Tri. At the same time, the truck with license plate 29Z-2860 was traveling in the opposite direction. According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the motorcyclist suddenly encountered a situation where they had to avoid the truck, possibly due to the truck drifting into their lane or another unexpected traffic situation.
During the evasive maneuver, the motorcycle collided with the curb, causing the rider to lose control and fall onto the road. Unfortunately, the victim was thrown into the rear wheels of the truck and run over. The tragic consequence was that the young man on the motorcycle was fatally injured and died instantly. Notably, the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, while the victim’s motorcycle remained relatively intact.

Immediately after the accident, police forces from Tu Liem quickly arrived to regulate traffic, prevent congestion, and secure the scene. A thorough examination of the scene was promptly carried out to gather evidence and clarify the cause of the accident.
However, another noteworthy detail is that the truck driver left the scene immediately after the accident. The victim’s identity had not yet been determined at that time, making the initial investigation difficult. Tu Liem police have continued to expand the investigation, searching for the truck driver to clarify the entire course of events and the responsibilities of all parties involved in this serious accident. The incident serves as a warning about road safety and compliance with traffic laws, especially in the complex traffic conditions of major cities like Hanoi.
