A tragic accident occurred on Highway 51 when a truck ran over and killed a motorcyclist. The truck driver is currently in custody, under investigation for murder.
On the afternoon of August 28th, a serious accident between a truck and a motorcycle occurred on Highway 51, passing through Huong Phuoc neighborhood, Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. As a result, the victim, Mr. To Hoang Dung (38 years old, from Binh Duong province), died at the scene.

According to initial information, at around 11:40 AM on August 28th, driver Do Minh Tan (28 years old, residing in Ben Tre province) was driving a truck with license plate 71H-012.25 on Highway 51, traveling from Long Thanh district to Bien Hoa city. When he reached the gas station area in Huong Phuoc neighborhood, Tan suddenly turned right. At the same time, Mr. Dung was driving a motorcycle with license plate 83P2-936.91 in the same direction close to the side of the road. Because the truck “cut him off,” Mr. Dung braked suddenly but it was too late, and the front wheel of the truck ran over him, killing him at the scene.
Dashcam footage from a local resident shows the truck ran over the victim twice, causing public outrage. Bien Hoa City Police have detained driver Tan to investigate the act of murder.

Colonel Le Hong Phong – Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police – directed the Deputy Director of Forensics to go to the scene to direct professional units and Bien Hoa City Police to collect complete information, documents, evidence, investigate, and consolidate evidence of the truck driver’s murder.
