Large Truck Videos: Traffic Police in District 7 Enforce Truck Modification Ban

In an effort to ensure traffic safety and curb overloading, as well as unauthorized truck bed modifications, the South Saigon Traffic Police Team has launched a campaign to encourage transport businesses in District 7 to voluntarily cut and lower truck beds to their original sizes. This activity has not only been documented through official records but also widely disseminated through numerous large truck videos capturing the enforcement process, demonstrating the determination of law enforcement and the compliance of businesses.

On the afternoon of July 6th, the propaganda team of the South Saigon Traffic Police Team, under the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (Ho Chi Minh City Police), directly visited the vehicle gathering point of a transport business in Tan Thuan Tay Ward, District 7. The purpose of the meeting was to propagate and encourage facility owners to strictly adhere to the provisions of the Road Traffic Law, especially regarding truck bed dimensions.

The main focus of the propaganda session was to remind businesses not to carry overloaded goods and not to arbitrarily change the structure and design of truck beds in a way that deviates from the inspected dimensions. Representatives of the Le Nghia transport, leveling, and construction business, after being explained and encouraged by the traffic police, agreed to comply with the requirements of the authorities.

Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, representative of Le Nghia Company, said that the company currently has about 10 large dump trucks specializing in transporting soil, rock, and sludge to serve construction projects in District 7 and Nha Be district. Most of the company’s trucks were purchased from previous owners and have had their truck beds modified.

Immediately after the meeting, Mr. Khanh directed his staff to conduct a detailed inventory and use specialized equipment to cut down the beds of 2 dump trucks on the spot. “We will survey and cut down the modified parts of the beds for all vehicles as committed,” Mr. Khanh affirmed. These images and large truck videos were subsequently recorded, becoming visual material of the cooperation between businesses and authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Tam, Head of the South Saigon Traffic Police Team, shared that in addition to inspection and punishment, propaganda and working with transport business owners and vehicle owners plays a very important role. The goal is for them to understand and voluntarily comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Law.

“The South Saigon Traffic Police Team’s Command has surveyed the entire area under its management to identify a specific list of car companies with signs of violations. We coordinate with the Ward Police to encourage compliance. If businesses refuse to cooperate, measures will be taken in accordance with regulations. However, to date, the cases worked on with the traffic police have all complied, without any disputes arising,” Lieutenant Colonel Tam added. The large truck videos recording these meetings show a positive cooperative attitude from businesses.

Since the start of the peak period for handling violations, the South Saigon Traffic Police Team has mobilized 3 car companies in the area to cooperate in dismantling and rectifying with more than 10 vehicles. In the near future, the South Saigon Traffic Police Team will continue to strengthen patrols, openly and secretly monitor and strictly handle violations related to overloading and unauthorized modification of truck beds, contributing to maintaining traffic safety and order in the area. These efforts, recorded and shared through numerous large truck videos, are expected to raise the awareness of legal compliance among the transport business community.
