Around 4:20 AM, a tractor-trailer with license plate 29H-406.XX, driven by Mr. N.V.L. (born in 1989, residing in Binh Luc, Ha Nam), towing a semi-trailer 29R-522.XX, was traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3 from Khuat Duy Tien towards Mai Dich. Upon reaching the section opposite Hanoi Children’s Palace, the tractor-trailer experienced a problem and stopped in the emergency lane.
Details of the Truck Overturn on Ring Road 3
Shortly after, a truck with license plate 29H-776.XX, driven by Mr. N.T.H. (born in 1977, residing in Long Bien, Hanoi), collided with the left rear of the tractor-trailer. The strong impact caused the truck 29H-776.XX to overturn and block the road.
Subsequently, a truck with license plate 29H-777.XX, driven by Mr. P.A.V. (born in 1984, residing in Hoang Mai, Hanoi), approaching from behind, braked suddenly due to the unexpected situation and also overturned. The chain-reaction accident with truck overturn on Ring Road 3 seriously affected traffic on the route.
Consequences and Handling of the Truck Accident on Ring Road 3
Fortunately, the truck accident on Ring Road 3 did not result in any casualties, although all three vehicles were damaged. Immediately after receiving the report, Traffic Police Team No. 6 dispatched officers to the scene to divert traffic and coordinate with the Police of Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, to conduct an examination and review the camera system to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
Authorities also conducted alcohol tests on the three drivers and found no violations. The truck overturn on Ring Road 3 once again serves as a warning about complying with traffic laws and focusing while driving, especially on highways.
